When I keep our lessons as hands on as possible its always a successful and memorable lesson. I find the kids retain much more information verses when we just do a worksheet.
Don't get me wrong I love a good worksheet and so do my boys but sometimes mixing it up is important. I've been making these felt pieces related to our studies for a while now and they always enjoy pulling it out time and time again.
To help them remember the different phases of the Moon I dug into my felt stash and made them the phases of the Moon. To go along with that I put together 3 part cards which are free for your downloading pleasure.
He put the cards in order and used the cards to help him get all the phases in the right place.
The 3 part cards are free on my TPT store. I hope you enjoy them and get some use out of them. I would love it if you would rate the product and follow me on my tpt store :).

There are so many possibilities when using felt. We love using felt. I so need to teach my children the moon phases. This is on our list. We love hands on learning. We also love things that we could hang up on our homeschool walls. This would be perfect to have on display. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteThank you! It would be a beautiful project to display some where in the house. It was one of those memory making moments my children and I will cherish.
