Homeschool Weekly Wrap Up

Hi guys! I can't believe we wrapped up week 2, here's some of what we did this week.

Science:

We are loving Apologia Anatomy and Physiology. This week we covered the cell and made an edible cell.

I drew a empty cell and I challenged the boys to draw and label as many organelles they could remember. I was super impressed how much the remembered.

Geography:

We finished all out intro to Canada activities you can read all about that here.

We began learning about our first province and I'll share more once we complete all the activities.

Language Arts:

We read A Bad Case of Strips which is a wonderful book about being yourself and not changing to impress others. We learned how to summarize a story using the Mnemonic device (SWBST), we also learned how to analyze characters in a story using evidence from the text.

My first grader loves all the vocabulary activities that come with his language arts program.

Preschool:

You can read all about our letter A activities here.

Baby Antics:

I have an 11 month old that tags along on our school day. He keeps our homeschool day interesting ;)

That's it for our homeschool week! I hope you had a fabulous week too.
