Character Traits- Prophet Ibrahim

Hi guys, today I wanted to share with you a character trait activity we did during our Prophet Ibrahim study.

Character traits are words that describe and help us understand a character in a story. As Muslims, it's important to point out to our children positive traits for them to emulate. Character traits are something we infer in a story through what the character says, does, and thinks.

In this activity, you will help your child do a directed drawing of a fire using the video link. Then have a discussion about the positive character traits we find in Prophet Ibrahim.

Brave- Ibrahim was brave. When the people built the fire to throw him in, he wasn't scared. Even when the angel came to him and asked if he needed any help he said.

Respectful- Ibrahim's father was an idol builder. Even though Ibrahim knew it was wrong, he still spoke to his father respectfully.

Smart- Ibrahim knew that the sun, moon, and stars could not be God.

Clever- The people did not want to listen to Ibrahim, so he showed them how useless their statues were by destroying them and blaming the biggest one. The people were able to see how helpless their idols were.

Loyal- As Muslims, our loyalty is first to Allah. Ibrahim did not let the people push him into worshipping idols. He remains loyal to his creator.

Caring- Ibrahim cared about his people very much. He tried to advise them.

In this activity, you will help your child do a directed drawing of a fire using the video link. Then have a discussion about the positive character traits we find in Prophet Ibrahim.

Watch the directed drawing video here.

Have your child color the flames according to the video instructions

Write the character traits you discussed about Prophet Ibrahim in your paper.

You can find this activity as part of our Prophet Ibrahim study in my TPT store. I hope you and your children enjoy learning about Allah's Best Friend.
