Hi guys, today I wanted to share with you our study of Nova Scotia. I'm currently doing Canadian geography with my 8 and 6 year old. We are having so much fun learning about this beautiful province together. Our main curriculum we are using is The Great Canadian Adventure.
We learned all about landforms and my son made this landform salt dough model.
We also learned about Peggy's Cove and all about lighthouses. We made this fun lighthouse craft using a plastic cup, washi tape, and some tealights.
We learned all about different sharks that are found off the coast of Nova Scotia. We learned all about the Basking shark and made a shark tooth using air dry clay.
We also learned all lobster fishing, Peggy's Cove, and Terry Fox.
To conclude our study we made some delicious lemon garlic salmon for lunch.
Along with all the activities my son documented his study scrapbook style. I took pictures of all his activities and at the end of the week we printed and he wrote captions and narrations to go with each picture.
