Parts of a Tree Trunk Art Lesson

As part of our botany unit the boys and I learned all about trees. We learned all the different parts of a tree trunk and incorporated some art into our lesson. 

We used the tree trunk puzzle from Alison's Montessori to learn the different parts. 

We also used our tree slice to get a closer look and observe all the different parts. 

using an art lesson from Painted Paper the kids painted different sizes circles. 

The art lesson was super easy even my six year old was able to participate. They enjoyed the end result and so did I.
